Attorney Bassel Bakhos of Parsippany, NJ; ethical troll

The state of New Jersey presented Bassel Bakhos with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from Catholic University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Basil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in a pattern of neglect
  • Failed to communicate with several clients
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
  • Failed to act with candor toward a tribunal
  • Failed to failure to make reasonably diligent efforts to comply with legally proper discovery requests from an opposing party
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to disclose a material fact to a tribunal
  • Made false statement of material fact or law to a third party

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Bassel by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Bassel practices in Parsippany, New Jersey.
