Former Judge Christopher Kaminski of Enterprise, AL; ethical troll

The State of Alabama provided Christopher M. Kaminski with a law license in 2009 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

Former Gov. Robert Bentley was duped into appointing Chris as a Coffee County District Court judge in May 2015. Chris didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Coffee County area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Alabama Court of the Judiciary found Judge Kaminski guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as a Coffee County District Court Judge.

  • Engaged in sexual affair with attorney who frequently appeared before him
  • Appointed the attorney who numerous cases
  • Took favorable judicial actions on behalf of his paramour
  • Entered attorney-fee awards on behalf of behalf of his paramour
  • Failed to disqualify himself from cases involving his paramour even after the affair was known to the public
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Severely undermining the public's and the Bar's confidence in the integrity, independence, and impartiality of the judiciary
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law
  • Conveyed or permitted others to convey the impression that they were able to influence him
  • Improperly lent prestige of his office to advance private interests of others
  • Failed to disqualify himself in a proceeding wherein his impartiality might reasonable by questioned

Rather then await a decision by the Alabama Supreme Court that would likely have ruled for his removal from the bench, Chris took the cowards way out and resigned his judgeship in June 2019.

As one would suspect, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits at the Alabama State Bar Association in conjunction with the comedians sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court never took any action against Chris’s law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Chris practices his brand of law at 99 Edwards Street in Enterprise, Alabama.
