Attorney John Frenden of Cleveland, OH; ethical gnome

The state of Ohio presented John Anthony Frenden with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from Case Western University, School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved representation of three different clients
  • Failed to perform promised actions on behalf of two clients
  • Failed to notify all three clients that he was not covered by malpractice insurance
  • Intentionally failed to seek lawful client objectives
  • Failed to faithfully carry out contracts of employment

As one would suspect, this was not Johnny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one complimentary reprimand and one complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Johnny practices his brand of law at 724 Leader Building in Cleveland, Ohio.
