Attorney Antonina Vaznelis of Weeki Wachee, FL; idiot, repeat offender

 

The state of Florida provided Antonina Vaznelis with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from Nova Southwestern University School of Law.

 

The Florida State Bar found Antonina guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Antonina’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Over a period of many years, respondent failed to timely marshal assets and failed to timely administer the trusts and estates
  • Failed to timely administer trust matters, some of the potential beneficiaries passed away
  • Failed to respond to counsel’s requests for information re: estate matters
  • Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to decline or terminate representation when required to so act
  • Failed to act fairly to opposing party and counsel
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Antonina by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Antonina’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Negligent in performing routine accountings for a trust’s assets
  • Failed to notice a fraudulent charge against the trust’s bank account from an outside source
  • By the time Tony performed an accounting of the trust’s assets two years later, it was too late to recover the lost funds. Vaznelis refunded the amount of the fraudulent charge
  • Violated terms of her prior probation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Antonina by gifting her with a complimentary 60-day suspension of her law license.

 

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Antonina practices at 8235 River County Drive in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
