Attorney Michelle Barry of Longwood, FL; scamming loser

The state of Florida provided Michelle A. Barry with a law license in 2007 after she graduated from Florida Coastal University School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Michelle guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with trust account rules
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination
  • Threatened to present criminal charges solely to obtain advantage in civil action
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of funds owing to the client
  • Asked client to sign a settlement agreement for the return of the unused cost deposit that included an improper clause requiring the client to waive her rights to file a bar complaint

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Michelle by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.

As one would suspect, Michelle fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on her self-serving website at www.mbarrylaw.com. Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. December 2019), Michelle practices with Michelle A. Barry PA at 300 North Ronald Reagan Blvd in Longwood, Florida.
