Attorney Nicholas Fitzgerald of New York City; ethical troll

The state of New York presented Nicholas Fitzgerald with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from New York School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Nicky guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to have new clients from previous firm sign new fee agreements
  • Failed to timely notify inherited clients in advance of his purchase of a law practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Nicky by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As one would suspect, Nicky fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.fitzgeraldcrouchlaw.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Nicky practices with Fitzgerald & Crouch PC at 41 Madison Avenue in New York, New York.
