Solicitor Che Wai Hang of Hong Kong; ethical troll

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Chai Wai Hang with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Che Wai Hang guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Asked client to sign two documents in favor of his firm which were contrary to the client’s interest
• Directed client to sign two documents which restricted client’s freedom to instruct a solicitor of its choice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Che Wai Hang by gifting him with a complimentary censure and assessed costs of HK$400,000 ($51,098.00 US).

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Che Wai Hang practices with Wong Hui & Co. at 664 Nathan Road in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
