Attorney Philip Nathanson of Chicago; cheating loser

The state of Illinois presented Philip Jeffrey Nathanson with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology School of Law.

FYI: Illinois Institute of Technology is ranked as the 149th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Disciplinary Commission found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to refund an unearned fee (cheater)
  • Failed to respond to client’s request for an accounting
  • Engaged in dishonest conduct by refusing to participate in fee arbitration after he agreed to participate
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to provide contracted for legal services
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Failed to provide client with all documents reflecting work performed for the client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Phil practices with The Nathanson Law Firm at 135 South La Salle Street in Chicago, Illinois.
