Attorney Walter Ding of Champaign, IL; crook

The state of Illinois presented Walter Ding with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the John Marshall School of Law.

FYI: John Marshall is ranked as the 166th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Disciplinary Commission found Walt guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected a client matter
  • Ignored client’s efforts to contact him
  • Failed to return unearned fees and costs (crook)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Walt!)
  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Serious question if able or willing to practice law in ethical matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Walt by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Chris does not mention the aforementioned misconduct on his website at www.dodsonpiraino.com. Apparently, Walt and his firm chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.

As we speak (September 2019), Walt practices with Dodson Piraino & Associates at 501 West University Avenue in Champaign, Illinois.
