Attorney Sandra Smith of Oakland, CA; ignoramus

The state of California presented Sandra Lynette Smith with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the University of California Hastings School of Law.

The State Bar found Sandy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Misconduct harmed significantly a client, the public, or the administration of justice
• Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
• Failed to timely serve the defendants with the writ in a client matter
• Failed to appear at seven scheduled case management conferences
• Recklessly ailed to perform legal services with competence (ignoramus)
• Failed to respond to client status inquiries
• Failure to appear at court hearing led to court dismissal of client’s case

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Sandy by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.
