Attorney Ronald Hassan of Welch, WV; lying workaholic

The state of West Virginia presented Ronald D. Hassan with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Billed Public Defenders Office 30 hours on 3 separate days
  • Billed Public Defenders Office 24 to 30 hours on 4 separate days
  • Billed Public Defenders Office 20 to 24 hours on 11 separate days
  • Billed Public Defenders Office 15 to 20 hours on 26 separate days
  • Charged a clearly excessive fee (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Lee practices with the Ronald D. Hassan Law Office at 66 Wyoming Street in Welch, West Virginia.
