Solicitor/Advocate Thirumuthy Pambayan of Singapore; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Singapore presented Thirumuthy Ayernaar Pambayan with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the National University of Singapore School of Law.

The Singapore Disciplinary Tribunal found Thirumuthy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Entered into a prohibited borrowing transaction of $3,000 with a client
• Improperly borrowed $8,000 from a client
• Failed to advise clients to seek independent legal advice re: loans to Thirumuthy
• Took advantage of his position to obtain loan benefits for himself in breach of his duty of fidelity

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Three Judges of the Republic of Singapore punished Thirumuthy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
