Attorney Andrew Decker III of Live Oak, FL; ethical gnome

The state of Florida provided Andrew Joseph Decker III with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Florida School of Law.

The Florida State Bar found Andy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Misrepresented mispresented facts during a debate when he was running for circuit judge
  • Violated the Code of Judicial Conduct Canons by publicly announcing his affiliation with the Republic Party while addressing the Lafayette County Republican Executive Committee
  • Failed to notify opposing counsel in pending litigation that he represented the presiding judge in other litigation and as a result, the judge could not preside over the upcoming trial

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Andy practices at 320 White Avenue SE in Live Oak, Florida.
