Attorney Gaylyn Cooper of Port Arthur, FL; cheating loser

The state of Texas provided Gaylyn Leon Cooper with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Houston School of Law.

The District 3 Grievance Committee found Gaylyn guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to keep his client reasonably informed about the status of their legal matter
  • Failed to promptly comply with reasonable requests for information
  • Failed to explain a legal matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit his client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to carry out completely the obligations he owed to his clients upon termination of representation
  • Failed to refund advance payments of fees that had not been earned (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Gaylyn by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gaylyn.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Gaylyn practices with Whighamlaw PA at 4310 West Spruce Street in Tampa, Florida.
