Attorney Charles Murray of Bonita Springs, FL; ethical troll

The State of Florida presented Charles A. Murray with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law. Charlie also received a law license from the District of Columbia and Maryland.

The State Bar of Florida found Charlie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to adequately supervise office staff
• Signed motion on the client’s behalf without authorization and without identifying to the court that it was his own signature on the motion and not the client’s
• Incorrectly calculated the deadline for the filing of motion on client’s behalf
• Failed to adequately communicate with the client
• Improperly shared fees with the non-lawyer entity
• Used the services of a non-lawyer legal research and writing company to draft a post-conviction relief motion for a client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2019) Charlie practices with Charles A. Murray PC at 27911 Crown Lake Blvd in Bonita Springs, Florida.
