Attorney Dee Wampler of Springfield, MO; ethical troll

The State of Missouri presented Dee Wampler with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

A disciplinary panel of the Missouri Supreme Court found Dee guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Two clients stated they paid Dee large advance fees but when they fired him, he initially refused to refund any of the money
  • Failed to provide detailed account of work he performed on client’s case
  • Failed to deposit $16,000 advance fee into client trust account as required
  • Dee told client all his $16,000 had been used despite the fact the case had been delayed and the man had not even been arraigned as of said time
  • After client sued Dee over the $16,000 advance fee, he paid him $7,500 to settle the case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel has recommended that Dee receive a complimentary 3-year term of probation.

As one would suspect, Dee failed to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.deewampler.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients so he wouldn’t limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Dee practices with the Law Offices of Dee Wampler & Joseph Passanise at 2974 East Battlefield in Springfield, Missouri
