Attorney Scott E. Vincent of Kansas City, MO; ethical leper-con

The state of Missouri presented Scott E. Vincent with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Kansas Law School.

In the recent past, the Missouri Supreme Court found Scott guilty of the following misconduct:
  • Failing to keep clients reasonably informed about status of case
  • Failure to promptly comply with reasonable requests for information from clients
  • Failed to withdraw from representing client when he had a duty to do so
  • Failing to give adequate notice of termination of attorney/client relationship
  • Failed to provide client ready access to client’s file upon termination of relationship
  • Engaged in unethical communications with a court
  • Represented a client in a matter that was adverse to the interests of a former client
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Missouri Supreme Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary one-year term of probation.

This non-punishment only further proves that Attorney Misfits in Missouri are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else.
As we speak (ca. March 2012) Scott practices law at Vincent Fontg Hansen, LLC at 330 West 47th Street in Kansas City, Missouri.
