Attorney Jonathan P. Gerisch of Ann Arbor; drunk, Dumbo

In January 2012, the Attorney Discipline Board found Jonathan P. Gerisch guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Convicted for the second time for driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Failed to prove competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Put forth a matter in court that he knew or should have known was frivolous
  • Engaged in dishonest conduct
  • Failed to exhibit good morals (This is misconduct?)
  • Conduct was unethical
The Board went on to find that Jonathan had engaged in conduct that exposed the legal profession and/or the courts to obloquy (disgrace), contempt, censure or reproach.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Discipline Board punished Jonathan by gifting him with a 30 day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2012) Jonathan continues to practice law when sober at 343 South Main Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
