Attorney Patrick Hyde of Denver; ethical troll

The state of Colorado presented Patrick C. Hyde with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Denver University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Patty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain adequate records regarding receipt of payment of fees
  • Despite never performing any legal services in a matter, he assumed two years later that he had somehow earned the $1,000 in fees previously paid by his client
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of his conduct (Screw you, said Patty!)
  • Engaged in repeated commission of misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary 6-mponth suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2019), Patty practices with Patrick C. Hyde PC at 3003 East 3rd Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
