Mrs. Rick Santorum: Today’s “Tina Fey” Award Winner
During an interview with the Right Reverend Glenn Beck on Feb 23, 2012, , Karen Santorum spoke about her initial reservations about hubby Ricky’s run for the Republican Presidential nomination.
She told Rev. Beck that it was the passage of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act that made her change her mind. Hey Karen, I understand; it was the Detroit Lions not making the Super Bowl again that did it for me.
Karen the Comic went on to say, “I did always feel in my heart that God had big plans for Rick. Eventually it was there, tugging at my heart…When Obamacare passed, that was it. That put the fire in my belly.”
Tina then said, “I do believe that if President Obama is elected again, I do believe we’re going to lose our nation as we know it. As a mother of 7, I’m really concerned about that.”
In closing her comedy routine, Tina said, “I think God has us on a path. I do think that there’s a lot more happening than what we’re seeing.”
At first it was Rev. Rick Perry’s wife telling us that she received a message from God telling her that Ricky should run for president. That was followed up by Reverend Herman Cain telling us that he received a calling from God to be our next President.
Damn Reginald, I wish that Jesus feller would make up his mind which comedian he really wants to support for President if ya know what I’m sayin.
Congrats Karen; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most aspiring standup comedians; you are far too humble.
