► Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA): Today’s “IHOP-Flip-Flop” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Kevin. In the past, he has been the recipient of four (4) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (ca. May 2019) rant, Kevin decided to prove that he’s one of America’s Premier Flip-Floppers when it comes to adding billions to the national debt. Kevin was giddy when he and his fellow Republican spendthrifts passed a $1.5 trillion tax cut aimed at corporations and billionaires/millionaires that will add trillions more to the national debt over the next ten years.

Now, let’s fast forward to May 2020 and see how Kevin feels about adding to the national debt. In this instance, Donald “Trumporleone” Trump made a proposal for a $2 trillion-dollar infrastructure bill. When Kevin the sham deficit hawk heard about it, he responded as follows to The Hill reporter Alexander Bolton.

• “How do you pay for it?”
• “That's the biggest question — that's the hardest part.”

It is painfully clear that Kevin the Flip-Flopper is content to blow up the deficit if it rewards his campaign contributors such as large corporations, billionaires and millionaires. However, when it comes to infrastructure and creation of blue-collar jobs, Kevin becomes a deficit hawk.

And lastly, Kevin gives hypocrisy a bad name!
