Attorney Jeffrey Bennett of Ypsilanti, MI; ethical troll

The state of Michigan presented Jeffrey G. Bennett with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from George Washington University Law School.

The Washtenaw County Hearing Panel #3 found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to timely pay prior displinary costs
• Failed to provide written notice to clients of his license suspension
• Failed to file written notice to trial courts and all parties of his license suspension
• Engaged in the illegal practice of law while suspended
• Failed to file required notice to withdraw client representation or substation of counsel with trial courts
• Falsely held himself out to others as a licensed attorney

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $2,012.50 in costs.

As we speak (ca. May 2019), Jeff practices with the Law Office of Jeffrey Bennett at 878 South Grove Street in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
