Attorney Albert Usumanu of Minneapolis; ethical troll

The state of Minnesota presented Albert Isiaka Usumanu with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from William Mitchell College School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Al!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to deposit advance fees into designated trust account
  • Failed to provide accounting to client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and assessed $900.00 in costs.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Al practices with the Albert Usumanu Law Office LLC at 4020 Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
