The Florida Supreme Court presented Maurice Mooney with a law license in 1994.
 
In the recent past the Florida State Bar filed charges against Maurice Mooney and subsequently found him guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Maurice was paid a $2,300 retainer to file a bankruptcy petition, however he never did so, and he failed to communicate with the client for several months
  • He was hired to represent a client in a mortgage loan modification/pre-foreclosure matter, but failed to keep the client informed regarding the status of the case
Maurice’s misconduct in the mortgage matter forced the victim-client to hire another attorney.
 
As a consequence of his egregious misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits at the State Bar punished Maurice by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. Goshes and Gollies, I be that hurt!
 
As we speak (Jan 2012) Maurice practices law with Mooney & Stewart, P.A. at 3639 Cortez Road in Bradenton, Florida, which is about 24 miles south of St. Petersburg.
 
Unless you’re seeking lousy legal representation and you live in the St. Petersburg area, I would suggest you avoid employing attorney Maurice Mooney.
