Attorney David Wolf of Phoenix; convicted druggie, serial offender

 

The state of Arizona presented David J. Wolf with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law. 

 

The Arizona State Bar found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct. 

 

Davey’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Misconduct motivated by selfishness
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Refused to acknowledge nature of conduct (Up yours, said Davey!)
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Charged and/or collected a clearly excessive fee (thief)
  • Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Contracted to represent client through trial, but withdrew prior to trial and failed to refund unearned fees after said withdrawal
  • Pled guilty to DUI-drugs (methamphetamine) and entered into a deferred prosecution agreement for possession of illegal drugs (cocaine)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of the disciplinary proceeding in the amount of $1,255.74.

 

Davey’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of the disciplinary proceeding in the amount of $1,200.00.

 

Davey’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Refused to acknowledge nature of misconduct
  • Misconduct motivated by selfishness
  • Fee agreement failed to state the basis or rate of the fee and expenses for which the client would  be responsible and failed to communicate same in writing, before or within a reasonable time after commencing the representation
    Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of the disciplinary proceeding in the amount of $1,200.00.


As we speak (ca. May 2019) Davey practices with Shostak Wolf & Associates at 4249 East Ludlow Drive in Phoenix, Arizona.
