Attorney Orlando Balcacer of New York City; ethical gremlin

The state of New York presented Orlando I. Balcacer with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law.

The Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards found Orlando guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in false and deceptive advertising

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Standards Committee punished Orlando by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Orlando practices with the Law Offices of Orlando I. Balcacer at 63 West 87th Street in New York, New York.
