Attorney Darin Meece of Durham, NC; committed forgery

The state of North Carolina presented Darin P. Meece with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Darin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Forged the name of a former client to a corrective deed
  • Notarized his forgery of the former client’s signature

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Darin by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in North Carolina are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Darin was never criminally charged with forgery.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Darin  practices at 2235 Umstead Road in Durham, North Carolina.
