Attorney Heather Jordan of Kennesaw, GA; ethical goblin

The state of Georgia presented Heather Elizabeth Jordan with a law license in 2011 after she graduated from the John Marshall School of Law in Atlanta.

The Georgia State Bar found Heather guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client on the scope and objectives of the representation
• Misconduct involved representation of client in a custody matter
• Failed to respond to numerous client communications over five month period of time
• Failed to provide client with status update on his custody case
• Failed to perform necessary work on client’s custody case
• Provided incorrect information to opposing counsel in the client’s discovery responses
• Ultimately stopped responding to client and stopped working on his case
• Failed to return client file upon termination

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Heather by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
