Attorney Michael Huitink of Brookfield, WI; lying slacker

The state of Wisconsin presented Michael d. Huitink with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep clients informed of status of matter
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Lied to his clients about working on appeal of insurer’s denial to pay client medical bill
• Had his legal assistant email clients a court case number that didn’t exist

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2019), Mikey practices with Sorrentino Burkert Risch LLC at 675 North Barker Road in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
