Judge Rena Hughes of Las Vegas; moronic slacker
The state Nevada presented Rena J. Hughes with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline found Rena guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Rena’s child custody order was not primarily motivated by the best interest of the child
-
Unfamiliarity with contempt laws was “very troubling”
-
Failed to perform judicial/administrative duties competently (imbecile)
-
Acted punitively towards mother in change of child custody
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Signed an order without first reviewing it carefully to ensure it was accurate
-
Court clerk had to educate Rena on legal matters she should have known (moron)
-
Knowingly failed to comply with the law
-
Violated a mother’s right to be heard (due process)
-
Failed to promote confidence in the judiciary
-
Failed to act impartially
-
Unfamiliar with the law on contempt and proper sanctions to be imposed (Dumbo)
-
Failed to appreciate/understand what constituted a hearing (idiot)
As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Rena by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. February 2019), Rena continues to sit as a Judge for the Clark County Family Court Division J of the Eight Judicial District Court in Las Vegas, Nevada.
