Attorney Sean McAteer of Providence, RI; lying loser

The State of Rhode Island  presented Sean M. McAteer with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Sean guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Knowingly made a false statement of fact or law to a tribunal
• Failed in duty to inform court in ex parte (one-sided) proceeding all material facts, even though adverse to his clients
• Misled court to believe his clients had not received a refund of their deposit, when he absolutely knew that was not the case
• Pursued claims he knew were frivolous and had no merit

As a direct consequence of his egregious misconduct, enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Sean by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2019), Sean practices at 203 South Main Street in Providence, Rhode Island.
