Attorney Stephen Lovely of Salem, MA; greedy loser

The State of Massachusetts presented Stephen P. Lovely with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers are investigating Stevie for engaging in the following misconduct.  1992 admit date

  • Engaged in a fraudulent scheme involving forged documents
  • Acquired residential property owned by close friend and prior client that involved a three-unit condo wherein one unit sold for $278,000 in 2015 and another was sold by Stevie’s daughter for $328,000 in 2018
  • Subsequently, the remaining unit is owned by Stevie’s son who paid $1 for it according to the Essex South Registry of Deeds
  • Stevie laughingly claimed that his client Thibodeau always intended for him to own the three-condo property
  • Stevie relied on forged documents to transfer the property to himself prior to the condo conversion
  • While the Board was investigating the matter, Stevie elicited fraudulent affidavits from two friends [subornation of perjury] and submitted two additional forged documents
  • Made false statements to ethics investigators to support his sham claim (Screw you, said Stevie!)

All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Stevie by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Stevie practices with the Lovely Law Group at LLP10 Federal Street in Salem, Massachusetts.
