Attorney Brad Daybell of Broomfield, CO; idiotic slacker

The state of Colorado provided Brad Daybell with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge found Brad guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed frivolous [BS] motion for temporary restraining order on client’s behalf
  • Filed bankruptcy petitions for sole purpose of preventing foreclosure on client properties
  • Assisted client in the pursuit of fraudulent actions
  • Failed to respond to opposing party’s motion to dismiss one of the client’s bankruptcy cases on grounds of bad faith
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Idiot)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to explain matter so as to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to communicate in writing, the rate or basis for his fee
  • Failed to inform client that trial court had entered a judgment of attorney fees against the client
  • Neglected to access the court’s e-filing system and therefore failed to realize that client’s ex-husband was seeking a major change in parenting time and decision-making responsibilities
  • Failed to appear at hearing on ex-husband’s parenting time motion
  • Conduct amounted to an abandonment of his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Brad by gifting him, with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Brad practices in Broomfield, Colorado.

CAUTION: Brad does not carry legal malpractice insurance
