Judge Marvin Adames of Newark, NJ; ethical troll

The Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Judge Adame guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Illegally incarcerated Ms. Lacey to merely ensure her appearance in a matter wherein incarceration was not appropriate, i.e., petty disorderly persons
  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Impugned the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to follow appropriate procedures in respect of the civil commitment process
  • Held Ms. Lacey in contempt of court and incarcerating her for 23-days in complete disregard of procedural safeguards
  • Deprived Ms. Lacey of her due process rights for the sole purpose of conducting an involuntary psychological evaluation
  • Unjustly deprived Ms. Lacey of her liberty by arbitrary use of contempt power
  • Impugned the impartiality of the judiciary
  • Displayed disrespect/disdain for the law

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Judge Adame by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Adame continues to sit as a Municipal Court judge in Newark, New Jersey.
