Judge John Lord of Long Beach, CA; ethical gnome

The State of California provided John David Lord with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings School of Law.

The California Commission on Judicial Performance found Johnny of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly commented to the media regarding a pending domestic violence case
• Stated publicly that a victim of domestic violence was treated “as white as a piece of wonder bread, who gets all kind of protection and attention from the prosecution office” in making comparison of pending matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Ernie by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Ernie continues to sit as a Superior Court judge in Los Angeles, California.
