Attorney Rogelio Pena of Chicago; ethical gnome

The state of Illinois presented Rogelio Pena with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the John Marshall Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Rogelio guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Formed an improper partnership with non-lawyers for the purpose of handling loan modifications for distressed homeowners
  • Failed to explain matters to the client-homeowners
  • Illegally shared legal fees with non-lawyers
  • Aided non-lawyers in the unauthorized practice of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Rogelio by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Rogelio practices with the Law Office of R. Pena at 4928 South Cicero Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

CAUTION:  Rogelio does not carry legal malpractice insurance
