Attorney Duane Thomas of Lake City, FL; lying loser

The state of Florida presented Duane Elias Thomas with a law license in 1975 after he graduated the University of Florida School of Law.

The State Bar of Florida found Duane guilty of the following misconduct.

• Submitted false affidavit and time records in connection with a workers compensation case
• Made, or attempted to make, agreements with two workers compensation clients that were unlawful and contrary to honesty and justice
• Guilty of having a business card printed for his secretary, which she gave to prospective clients, that contained misleading or deceptive factual statements

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Duane by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license. 

Because Attorney Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Duane was never criminally prosecuted for perjury and/or fraud.

As we speak (ca. January 2019) Duane practices at 206 South Marion Avenue in Lake City, Florida.
