Attorney Mary Nester of Amboy, WA; ethical goblin

The state of Washington presented Mary A. Nester with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Mary  guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to respond fully and truthfully to inquiries from ethics investigators (Up yours, said Mary!)
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Continued to represent a client without first having obtained its consent to the continued representation after full disclosure of the potential adverse impact upon her professional judgment of her ownership interest in company associated with the conflict
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mary!)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.
