Attorney Patricia Toy of Tacoma, WA; ethical goblin

The state of Washington presented Patricia A. Toy (PAT) with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Patty guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly maintain her trust account for several years
• Failed to maintain contemporaneous balance of funds in her trust account
• Failed to prepare individual client ledgers
• Failed to retain bank statements or cancelled checks
• Improperly used her trust account as her personal checking account
• Failed to render appropriate accountings to her clients
• Commingle client funds with personal funds

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting her with a complimentary 2-month suspension of her law license

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Patty practices with Family Law a la Carte in Tacoma, Washington.
