Attorney Carl Epstein of Indianapolis; ethical gremlin

The state of Indiana provided Carl with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Indiana Law School.

The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission found Carl guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, while he was representing a client in a child molestation and child solicitation matter, Carl began recording phone calls with his client wherein he bragged about personal relationships with judges and implied he could improperly influence those judges.

The records also revealed that Carl made defamatory comments about another client’s race, and discussed whether his client should flee the jurisdiction to avoid criminal prosecution.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 218), Carl practices at 155 East Market Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
