Attorney George Leahy of West Boxford, MA; ethical goblin

The state of Maine presented George F. Leahy with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the New England Law School. Georgie also received a law license to practice in Massachusetts.

The Panel B of the Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct unworthy of an attorney (OMG, this is news?)
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Georgie!)
• Directly or indirectly violated, circumvented, or subverted any provisions of the Maine Bar Rules
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 90-day suspension of his law license.

In truth the comedians sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Dick.
