Attorney Maria Torres of Chandler, AZ; thieving loser

The state of Arizona presented Maria G. Torres with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Maria guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated various trust account rules
  • Distributed sums to herself and her client that varied from the terms of the fee agreement
  • Overdrew her trust account
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Made cash withdrawals from trust account
  • Failed to maintain obligatory trust account records
  • Converted (stole) client funds from her trust account to pay her office expenses
  • Failed to enter into a contingent fee agreement in writing
  • Distributed client funds incorrectly
  • Failed to make remedial deposits to correct errors when she learned of them
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
    Misconduct involved selfish motive

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Maria by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Maria practices with Gordwin Law at 1839 East Queen Creek Road in Chandler, Arizona.
