Attorney Kaine Wen of Azusa, CA; ethical goblin

The state of California provided Kaine Wen with a law license in 2008 after she graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The State Bar Court found Kaine guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
• Engaged in illegal practice of law in Pennsylvania
• Illegally entered into agreement and charged and collected a $2,900 fee to perform legal services in a jurisdiction (Pennsylvania) in which Kaine falsely held himself out as admitted to practice
• Improperly shared fees with a nonlawyer

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Courtpunished Kaine by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Kaine.
