First and foremost, it should be noted that this isn’t Maxie’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct, which can be viewed by visiting the URL listed at the end of this article.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Maxie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to adequately communicate with clients
• Collected unreasonable fees (cheater)
• Failed to maintain client funds in trust until earned
• Improperly shared legal fees with non-attorney
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Maxie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2019) Maxie practices with the Law Office of Maxwell C. Cohen LLC at 608 Echo Cove Drive in Crownsville, Maryland.
