Attorney Carlie Walker of Avondale, AZ; cheater, repeater

The state of Arizona presented Carlie Owsley Walker with a law license in 1975 after she graduated from Texas Wesleyan University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Carlie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Carlie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Prior to family court hearing, Carlie asked her client to accompany her to the bathroom so she could “vape”
  • Carlie billed her client thirty minutes for the brief bathroom conversation (cheater)
  • Failed timely to provide discovery to opposing counsel and file exhibit and witness lists
  • Filed a motion to withdraw that omitted her client’s required contact information
  • Failed promptly to file a corrected motion or inform her client of a hearing date
  • Filed a new motion to withdraw in which she revealed confidential client information without consent
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Carlie!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Carlie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $1,522.50.

Carlie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Knowingly neglected her client in a family law case
  • Failed to comply with court ordered discovery and exhibit deadlines
  • Failed to appear for scheduled meetings with her client and the opposing party
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with her client
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Carlie by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,000.00.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Carlie practices her so-called practice of law with Becker Zarling Law at 12725 West Indian Road in Avondale, Arizona.
