Attorney Marc Monroe of Grand Junction, CO; cheating slacker

The state of Colorado provided Marc A. Monroe with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Marc guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to protect client interests upon termination
  • Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)
  • Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under rules of a tribunal
  • Failed to return client file to client upon being terminated
  • Failed to comply with court order to schedule hearing on client’s motion to modify child support payments

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Marc by gifting him, with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Marc.

As we speak (ca. September 2018), Marc practices at 455 South Camp Road in Grand Junction, Colorado.

CAUTION: Marc does not carry legal malpractice insurance
