Attorney John Tucker of Tallmadge, OH; ethical troll

The state of Ohio presented John David Tucker with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Akron School of Law, which is ranked 146^th out of 203 law schools nationwide.

The Disciplinary Counsel Bar found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Used client trust account funds to pay for legal malpractice insurance
• Improperly used client trust account for personal and business purposes
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Over 2-year period, wrote nearly 200 checks from client trust account to pay for a variety of personal and business expenses, including office rent, utilities for his home, personal/real-estate taxes, insurance, attorney registration fees, judicial campaign contributions and loan payments
• On at least 80 occasions electronically withdrew funds from client trust account to cover personal expenses
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to maintain required records regarding funds held in client trust account
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Failed to perform required monthly reconciliations of client trust accounts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Johnny.
