Judge Michael Piontek of Racine, WI; ethical troll

The state of Florida presented Michael J. Piontek with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

The Wisconsin Judicial Commission has charged Mikey with engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with a prosecutor
  • During ex parte call with prosecutor, Mikey said he believed any plead deal should include felony conviction and that “people like this who involve themselves in scam like this need to be stopped”
  • Conduct diminished public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to act without bias or prejudice
  • Failed to recuse himself in a timely manner
  • Engaged in improper private investigation prior to considering the sentencing of a former nurse who pled guilty to several criminal charges
  • Improperly used independent investigation of criminal defense in determining sentencing

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Mikey by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2018), Mikey continues to sit as a Racine County Superior Court judge in Racine, Wisconsin.
