The state of Connecticut provided James Francis McKenna Jr. with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct

Jimmy’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Jimmy!)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to comply with client directive file demand for trial de novo
• Jimmy’s negligence led to client losing right to request a trial de novo

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jimmy by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

Jimmy’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to file motion to prevent client’s case from being dismissed for failure to respond to opposing counsel discovery requests
• Failed to file motion to reopen case when judgment was entered against his client
• Client only became aware of the motion to dismiss his lawsuit and the judgment against him when he reviewed the court file

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jimmy by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Jimmy practices with the Law Offices of Mark S. Gilcrest at 2319 Whitney Avenue in Hamden, Connecticut.
