Attorney Jay Matz of Danbury, CT; scamming fraudster

The state of Connecticut presented Jay Brian Matz with a law license in 2087 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Jay guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Obtained mortgage loan under false pretenses
  • Knowingly obtained financing and entered into secondary financing transaction that was clearly contrary to the terms of his agreement with the lender
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • In loan application, Jay and his wife signed disclosure statement reflecting difference between purchase price and lender’s mortgage loan was paid for by Jay and his wife with their own funds, which they knew was patently false

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jay by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Connecticut are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Jay was never criminally charged with bank fraud.

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Jay practices with Matz & Levitan at 36 Mill Plain Road in Danbury, Connecticut.
